It is known that the Horde will be the main wow classic gold villain in the movie with the Allience becoming protagonist. However, Fennegan said that the Horde might not be completely bad guys. "Rather than, oh, it's the good guys versus the bad guys. I think you know we really want to make sure that an audience, whether they know what the hell the Alliance and the Horde are, when they leave go, it's like, yeah, he was a good guy. And that guy was a good guy too," the producer said.

If there must be a loser, the rain was it. Causing a one hour delay to the concert's start time and leaving guests and their seats wet, the storm made the atmosphere gloomy. That is, until New Kids on the Block opened the concert just minutes after the rain stopped. With them playing, it was as if attendees forgot they had spent the last hour getting their '80s themed shirts soaked, and the dancing and singing commenced.
